Such a fun resource to address community safety!

Love this book and everything it targets! I mainly use it to support children to developing an understanding of community safety and services. I love how it has a range of activities (ie: consecutive pages) all addressing similar concepts with a slightly different approach. This means children (particularly those who struggle retaining information and understanding new concepts) can progress through the book and receive heavy repetition, which supports them in consolidating their understanding and learning. I also love the construction drawing and writing pages, to work on children's visual motor integration and visual perceptual skills. Such a versatile and creative book!

    Great new addition
My clinic recently acquired this busy book and it has been the perfect addition to our collection! Such a great way to discuss people in our community and developing a child’s understanding of a range of people they may encounter in life! These books are always fun so there’s never any trouble with compliance from my clients when i bring out a busy book!

My 3yo is a big lover of this book and the â??trucksâ?? and other machinery and tools. She has a developmental delay so canâ??t read for some parts of the book but loves to complete the activities with my guidance. She especially loves the shadow matching page.

My two boys, James and Jack, already know and love Busy Books but their excitement at having new books with new activities has been so fun to watch! James, 6, has particularly loved the â??Community and Constructionâ?? book and is enjoying learning about the members of our community and the role they play, as well as how roads and houses are made. It has fired both his imagination and his interest in these processes, which Iâ??m sure he had never properly contemplated before! Thankyou for continuing to create such fun learning tools for home!

Wow â?¦ what an absolutely enriching and amazing resource. We sat down after receiving our first busy book and I showed my 3.5yr old boy and picked a page to do. He was thrilled, so excited and he loved placing all the pictures in their place. He then insisted on completing another page, and it took a lot of compromise to agree on exploring the rest tomorrow haha (because it was close to bedtime).

But, being an Early Childhood Educator myself, I was skeptical if the book would be worth it with the price tag. However, I am shocked at not only the quality, but I can see how much thought and time has been put into this resource. It is certainly an investment, but one that is well worth it! I have not found anything like this, especially being a strong believer in play and donâ??t necessarily encourage my little boy to sit and do structured learning. This however, had a fun twist, and I love the interactive component of it!! I think it will be glued to our hips on holidays and whenever we go somewhere, and I honestly cannot wait to purchase more!

This is perfect for my construction loving boy. He spends so long learning about different construction vehicles. We also love to use this book in sensory and messy play to extend his learning even further. Definitely need to add this one to your collection!

Since she was 3, Audrey has loved learning about all the various community helpers and their roles in society. Now 4, she knows what most of the construction signs mean, what tools are used for and what people do in various occupations, naming construction vehicles and what they do and how a road is made. With the addition of basic handwriting and drawing skills on durable wipeable pages, this is a fun Busy Book that covers so much in numerous activities designed on a learning curve so she will still enjoy it for years to come!

My little 2.5 year old absolutely loves this book! He already loved construction and trucks but this book has him even more engaged and he loves learning the new things. We have 5 busy books now and my little one uses them almost every day and itâ??s always a feature when we have other kids over – everyone loves them. Would highly recommend. We donâ??t do screen time and he isnâ??t yet in childcare and the books have provided us with more structured learning which is great for him, but also for me!

This Busy Book is an absolute hit with my 3 year old, who is construction and building obsessed! The ‘I Know How Roads Are Made’ is essentially bookmarked as we have road construction at our local shops and my son happily comes home after seeing the excavator, opens the Busy Book and tells me about what he saw. Not all Busy Book activities are actually focussed on the book, but instead the world around us, which I really love!
