Emma is a Mum to an inquisitive 3 year old and cool as a cucumber 9 month old living in country WA. She is the face behind educational play account www.instagram.com/pagesandpaintau
Although currently on leave, Emma has been in Education for over 15 years, the last 8 years being in Principal and Deputy Principal roles. Emma is Early Childhood trained, having taught every year level from Kindy/Prep through to Year 3 and is super passionate about Early Years education and Literacy.
Alongside school administration, Emma is also a University Practicum Supervisor for Bachelor Early Childhood and Primary Pre-service teachers and a Presenter of Literacy Professional Development Courses suited for Principals, Deputy Principals, Teachers and Education Assistants on areas including Phonological Awareness, Phonics, Reading and Spelling. I have worked with numerous schools to develop whole school plans and coached individual teachers on how best to teach and assess Literacy from Kindy through to Year 6 classrooms.
