Caroline Sutcliffe is the founder of The Speech Room (a paediatric speech and language therapy clinic) and The Move Room (a paediatric occupational therapy clinic) based on the North Shore in Auckland, New Zealand. They are currently a team of six (between the two clinics) and work with clients that range from bubbas all the way to young adults.
Caroline is also a mum to two gorgeous girls; Aubrey who is five and Ava who is just shy of turning 10. She has been a Speech Therapist for 14 years, roughly nine of those years have been in private practice. A big reason for the shift into private practice was so she could support families who have endured the path not commonly taken because they are proud parents of a child with additional needs (as she too is one of those parents with Ava having some exceptionally unique traits). She loves how her clients have just as much fun as she does in session and she has a passion for those complex kiddies. She also found that a lot of her clients also needed OT input which is why she opened The Move Room.
The Speech Room is lucky enough to have Donna, Susan and Sarah. The Move Room members include OTs; Esmie and Angela who are both trained in sensory integration.
